ABOUT
As stated on the home page, this website serves as an interactive resource meant to allow readers to explore the meaning of empowerment, begin conversations about what schools systems can do to better serve their students, particularly those who do not fall into traditional stereotypes, and who deal with intersectional oppressions, and lastly, provide resources to encourage further research, reading, and watching.
This site was created as a final project or 'unessay' in the Western University School for Advanced Studies in the Arts and Humanities (SASAH) course called "Spaces of Their Own: Space, Place, and Power for Children and Young Adults."
ABOUT ME!
My name is Rachael, and I am a second year student completing a double major with SASAH and Environment and Health in the geography department, as well as a French minor. I hope to create safe spaces for students where we can all feel empowered.
